Allergic Rhinits

Allergic Rhinitis is a condition caused by allergies to environmental inhalants like Dust, Mites, Molds, Cockroach and Animal Dander.
  • Symptoms include runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy nose, clear nasal discharge, itchy watery eyes, itchy throat and occasionally itchy ears. It can cause asthmatic symptoms like coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
  • Treatment includes antihistamines, intranasal steroids, eye drops. If symptoms do not improve then immunotherapy (allergy shots) can be added to the regimen.
