ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Dr. Savliwala completed his pediatric residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and his allergy and immunology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Buffalo General Hospital.

Dr. Savliwala is board certified in Pediatrics as well as allergy and immunology. With over 25 years of clinical experience in practice he has been voted as TOP DOC by his peers time and again. He is adored by his patients and well respected in the field of allergy and immunology.

INSURANCE AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

Allergy & Asthma Care PC accepts most major insurance plans. We participate with a wide range of PPO, HMO, and POS insurance plans. Please call our office for specific information regarding your particular insurance plan. You are responsible for charges that are not covered by your insurance, at the time of your appointment.

 

Your insurance company may require a co-payment at the time of your appointment. When necessary, our staff will work with patients to set up a payment plan.

By choosing to participate in a PCMH-N, patients agree to:

 

  • Make sure my doctor knows my entire medical history
  • Tell my Doctor all the medications I am taking
  • Actively participate with my doctor in planning my care
  • Keep my appointments as scheduled
  • Follow my Doctor’s recommendations
  • Frequently sign into my patient medical portal to update my medical history
  • Consult with my Primary Care Physician for advice prior to making an appointment with a specialist.
  • Ask other healthcare providers to send my information such as lab or test results, X-rays or treatment notes to my PCMH Care Physician.

Being a part of a PCMH-N your specialist will:

 

  • Communicate with your PCMH Care Physician about treatment plans, medications, test orders and test results including appropriate flow of patient care information.

 

  • Have an agreement with your PCMH Care Physician regarding who will have the lead responsibility for your care if a chronic disease exists.

 

  • Have same day appointments available for urgent problems and appointments within 1-3 weeks available depending on your medical needs.

Diagnosis & Treatment Services

We specialize in the diagnosis and management of asthma, allergy and clinical immunology including conditions such as allergic rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), food allergy, drug allergy, anaphylaxis (systemic allergic reactions), contact dermatitis, urticaria (hives), angioedema (swelling), conjunctivitis, primary immunodeficiency syndromes and many others.

 

We help patients determine the causes and treatment for symptoms such as nasal congestion, “sinus” symptoms, ear and eye symptoms, shortness of breath, wheezing, headache, chronic cough, recurrent respiratory and other infections, skin rashes, hives and others.

We offer all types of allergy testing, rhinoscopy, pulmonary function testing, nitric oxide testing, as well as allergen immunotherapy (allergy injections), intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) infusions, and anti-IgE (Xolair) injections if these are indicated.
